The original is crafted from exceptionally luxurious materials and is inlaid with gemstones. Presumably it belonged to a Germanic aristocrat who served in an auxilia of the Roman army. Constructed from brass and inlaid with polished glass, the helmet features a neck plate and two cheek plates and is lined with red leather. It weighs approximately 4 kg
